Gray, slippery, spotted with mildew? Under all that, your deck is still there. We wash wood and composite decks gently — the right prep for sealing, staining or simply enjoying.
Decks live outside 365 days a year, and it shows: UV grays the wood, mildew turns shaded boards slick, and grill spots and leaf stains build into a permanent-looking patina. High pressure is the wrong answer — it furs wood fibers and etches lines that never come out. We soft wash decks, letting the cleaning solution lift the gray and kill the growth, then rinse at gentle pressure that respects the wood grain.
Composite decking (Trex and similar) needs its own approach — manufacturers void warranties over high pressure — and we clean it to spec. Either way, you get back a deck that’s safe to walk on barefoot and ready for whatever’s next.
Planning to stain or seal? Washing first is non-negotiable — coatings applied over mildew and gray fibers fail early. We time deck washes so the wood can dry fully before you (or your painter) apply product. Add a fence cleaning to the same visit and the whole backyard comes back at once.

Not with our method. We use a soft wash approach — cleaning solution does the heavy lifting, followed by a gentle rinse. No fuzzy fibers, no wand lines.
Yes. Composite manufacturers require low-pressure cleaning to keep warranties intact, and that’s exactly how we treat it.
Typically 24–48 hours of dry weather, depending on temperature and humidity. We’ll advise on timing when we finish.
